Curtis Sharp – Trainer

Curtis was like many of you. He rescued a dog to protect his family… and he was great with the family. Regretfully, he was terrible with everyone else. After being unsuccessful with his dog aggression, Curtis started learning how to train. He never turned back.

That dog became an obedience champion. During the competition, when he was in a long down, another dog broke and ran over to him. He didn’t budge. Dog aggression problem solved.

Curtis has since trained with a wide variety of trainers from different disciplines, including pet, police, military, and IPO/Schutzhund. Taking an eclectic approach, Curtis has absorbed the best from all of these disciplines in to provide a more effective and rewarding experience for YOU and YOUR dog.

In addition to the services offered at Sharp K9, Curtis still actively participates in police tracking, criminal apprehension, and narcotics detection.

Curtis is the happy father of three beautiful children, including a daughter with special needs, who has inspired him to provide service dogs for others. Read about his experience HERE.

Curtis has advanced degrees in Philosophy from Texas Tech University and the University of Rochester. He once attained a Latin minor, but don’t ask him to conjugate anything.
